Liz Biagioni
Following
a rowing accident while at Oxford University, Liz Biagioni had spinal surgery in 1990. After 5 years of intermittent lumbar
discomfort post surgery a physiotherapist at The London Bridge
Hospital suggested Pilates as a way to alleviate the back pain and
sciatica. Within a month the pain had dramatically reduced and over
time strength was gradually regained.
Liz continued her own
personal development at weekly classes and one on one lessons with a
Body Control Pilates® trained teacher.
From seeing the benefits first hand Liz decided in May 2004 to start
training as a Body Control Pilates®
Teacher and qualified in March 2005. Liz has continued her
professional development with Body Control Pilates and has completed
courses ranging from Pilates in Pregnancy to
Pilates and Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis, as
well as continuing Pilates equipment training. Liz has completed
Reformer I course.
In January 2010 Liz
became a Supervising Teacher for Body Control Education Ltd offering
teaching experience and support to Trainee Body Control Pilates
Teachers.
In January 2011 Liz became a REPS Level 4 Specialist Exercise Instructor in Low Back Pain and is qualified to take GP referrals for Low Back Pain. Liz is now a certified Back4Good Practitioner.
